Not every day is a productive day. Sometimes you just want to stay on your phone or binge-watch the Bridgerton series. When we do need to be productive though, it sometimes takes time to get ourselves prepared. Here are 5 ways that help us (and might help you) get ready for a productive day.

1- Clean your workspace
Having a clean and comfortable workspace will set you up for success by creating a workspace you look forward to work on. Place your desk by a window, or get that comfortable chair you've been stalking online. Whatever it is, buy things for your workspace that makes you happy.
2 - Silence your phone
Having your phone in front of you and open to each notification will only tempt you even more. Close it! Have it flipped on the table or mute your notifications. Facebook and Instagram can wait.
3 - Schedule your work
Opening your agenda and seeing all your upcoming assignments, tests, and homework is stressful. But it doesn't need to be. Try organizing your work for every day of the week. Plan what you need to study, what you need to send to your teachers or even readings you need to do. Plan everything, even the small things! Trust me, seeing all the done tasks will only motivate you to finish the rest.
4 - Take breaks
Go outside, read a book, make yourself a snack; whatever it is, take a break. Working non-stop will only burn you out more and make you hate your work. If you spend most of your time in front of a screen, try to avoid your phone during breaks. Enjoy the good weather or spend time with family. Whether it's a quick 10-minute break or a 1-hour break, having some time off your screen will do you some good.
5 - Learn to say no
We all have that one person who calls you to hang out when you have a ton of homework to do. You cave in and tell yourself why not, only to come home and feel stressed that you have too much. Saying no won't hurt. You'll feel more productive since you'll be committed to your work and successfully finishing it on time.
